My family of five stayed in the Lighthouse cottage for two weeks. The location is fantastic, close to Port Huron and Lexington. The park and beach across the street were perfect for keeping the kids busy and felt like it was all ours most of the time. The cottage is very updated, comfortable and has all the things you need while away from home. Also, it was in spotless condition. The cottage has a fire pit and volleyball court, both very utilized during our stay. The owners are very fast to respond to questions and are wonderful to work with. We will be back next summer for sure!

This cottage is even nicer on the inside then on the outside. It is in close proximity to the lake (about 200 steps) and was beautifully appointed and pristine. It has a nice BBQ grill and picnic tables for outside eating and a full compliment of recreational items. (games and such). Expected far less for the modest price and my expectations were totally exceeded!

We were right across from a lovely park and a view of Lake Huron. Cottage was like new, well maintained with comfortable beds and all the amenities a family would need. It was easy to locate and a reasonable distance for events around Port Huron, Lakeport and Lexington.

Truly a great place to stay and the owners are very easy to work with. Three bedrooms with a large living room and kitchen area give plenty of space for a group to stay in. It's recently remodeled and everything has been finished to a high standard. Great appliances along with all the kitchen utensils you would need. The home is across the street from Burtchville Park which has a great beach and lots of open spaces. I shouldn't write such a good review as I want to be sure to get my dates next year. The front door has a key pad lock which changes with each renter and it makes it so easy since no one has to have a key. Great place.

This cottage was beautiful, comfortable, affordable. The owners were responsive and timely. Great location -- Lake Huron is right across the street! Our family had a wonderful stay and would have been content to stay right here at the cottage, but there were also great things to see and do just a short drive away . . . other parks with beach access, trolley ride (cost is 10 cents each) to see historic Port Huron, horseback riding, lighthouse tour, shopping, etc. You will have absolutely everything you need right at the cottage -- fully furnished kitchen, outdoor grill, picnic table, volleyball net, fire ring, notebook with pamphlets on all the restaurants, etc. that are nearby, board games and a lovely chess table. Also, damage deposit was refunded in a VERY short time after our departure. I appreciated the service we received from these owners and highly recommend this property.

The cottage was spotless when we arrived and smelled of fresh linen. The owner is very thoughtful and provided beach towels, a first aide kit, coffee, sugar, creme and salt and pepper.. Bath towels are fluffy. There was wood for the fire ring and tongs to roast marshmellows. Every detail was considered. The welcome binder full of resources was very helpful.. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had such a good experience with this rental. The unit is cute, clean, and well stocked with the necessities (even marshmallow roasting sticks!). Our kids enjoyed being right across the street from the park so we took advantage of that daily. While the beach is rocky as mentioned, you can get water shoes for $6-10 at Dollar General, Dunhams, etc, so we each had a pair and enjoyed the lake. With the cottage as home base, we did day trips to Port Huron, Lexington, and Port Sanilac. Thanks!

My wife and I were very impressed with every aspect of our stay. The house is beautifully decorated, clean and in the perfect local. We could see the blue water of lake Hueron across the street, where there is a great park and beach to hang out. There is a quaint local tavern just 2 minutes down the road with an impressive menus. We will be back next year and when and if we get snow mobiles it will be a lot sooner.

Very spacious house with open floor plan. So clean and inviting. I loved the decorating for a beach house. Well stocked with lots of games and movies for the kids. Great park right across the street but it is on a fairly busy and fast road for small children. Beach was further than I expected and not good for swimming as it was too rocky. Manager was very friendly. Excellent price! Actually recommended it to other people I met at the park.

My family stayed at the house for 3 nights, there is plenty of space for 5 people! The pictures don't do the house justice, it was beautiful and full of light. The fresh flowers on the table were a very sweet touch. The beach theme was really cute. You can tell that the house is brand new. Everything we needed was there. We loved the fire pit, it was great, it was nice to sit and enjoy the fire. The owner went above and beyond to answer my many questions :), and answered them promptly. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the house, but the swim area isn't very large. However, the house is in close proximity to other beaches, which was very convenient for us. Lakeside beach and park is 2,5 miles away. Out in front of the house is a park, there are skate ramps, a tennis court, and a playground. We have truly enjoyed staying here, and would come back.

Super cute and very clean. You can tell everything is new. It was perfect and close to several nice beaches. Lots to do in Lexington and Port Huron, both just a short drive away. Used the beach and playground at the park across street daily. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We really enjoyed our stay at this small house. Right across the street from a park and small beach. The beach must be a well-kept secret, because it was not crowded at all. The home is neat and clean with everything we needed for our stay.

It was absolutely fabulous! We loved the cottage and the fact that your could walk through the park to the water. The cottage is very well equipped, cute, and cozy. We enjoyed having the internet, movies to watch, and I even did the three puzzles one rainy day. Pan fried fish at Tally Ho was better than the fish at Freighters but the view is great and the gift shop was fun.

This was our first visit to Lakeport and Lake Huron. The interior of the cottage was simply lovely and so "beachy". The kids and adults had a wonderful time collecting the unique rocks we found at the beach. We would spend our day collecting rocks and then the evenings polishing them. We went to the beach in Fort Gratiot several times but the kids preferred the smaller beach across the street. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thanks so much for making our visit memorable !!

The cottage was super cute and very clean. There were lots of extra homey touches - extra blankets, board games, marshmallow roasting sticks. Our sons (11, 2 and 1) loved being right across the street from the park and Lake Huron. We made day trips to Ft. Gratiot, Port Huron and Lexington and it was an easy drive from the cottage. The backyard was spacious and private enough even with other cottages behind us. We would stay here again. Colleen was a very responsive host.

The weather didn't cooperate, but the cottage was very nice, and the neighboring park was beautiful.

The cottage had everything we needed. The decor was very well done. Access to the beach was amazing. We really loved everything about it! If there was one suggestion for improvement it would be replacing the mattress on the bed. The mattress was extremely "soft" which made it difficult to sleep. That was only a small inconvenience in an otherwise outstanding place to relax and refresh. We would love to stay there again!
